SCOTLAND'S NATIONAL JAZZ CLUB To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Jazz in Scotland, we have launched a national jazz club membership scheme. The aim of this scheme is to stimulate the Scottish Jazz Scene by encouraging people to go more often to concerts and to perhaps try out new things. Membership is FREE apart from a small administrative charge of £3 (to cover the cost of the membership card, post etc) and entitles members to various discounts and offers from an ever increasing number of participants. Members also receive a weekly emailed newsletter telling them of all the concerts and gigs that week as well as all the latest news. The newsletter will also highlight all the offers and discounts available throughout Scotland to members. These discounts will include reduced ticket prices, discount on jazz course fees, discounts at music shops etc. |

SCOTTISH JAZZ AWARDS 2009 RESULTS The inaugural Scottish Jazz Awards took place the Tron Theatre in Glasgow on Monday 22nd June. It was a hugely successful evening with a fantastic atmosphere, compered very entertainingly, by BBC Radio Scotland's Stephen Duffy. There were performances by the Brian Kellock Trio, Carol Kidd and Bobby Wellins (who received a Lifetime Recogition Award) For full details of who the winners and runners up are, and lots more photos, click here.
