A GREAT DAY IN HARLEM

In August 1958 a young photographer from Esquire Magazine - Art Kane, brought together the most important people in jazz for a group photo.  57 musicians turned up at 10am in Harlem.  Among them: Count Basie, Art Blakey, Roy Eldridge, Art Farmer, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Griffin, Coleman Hawkins, Philly Jo Jones, Charles Mingus, Gene Krupa, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, & Lester Young.
